Role Overview: In this role, you will be responsible for helping to ensure that the retail store is running smoothly, including delegating tasks to staff members and working with management on things that need addressed to ensure the best customer experience possible. You will also be responsible for assisting customers in the gear selection process and set-up process. You will be the expert that customers look to for the best gear recommendations that match their ability, preferences, and budget. You should enjoy working with people, have excellent verbal communication skills, and function well in a sometimes hectic and fast paced retail environment. This is a seasonal position that will end in March.
Role Responsibilities:
- Determine customer needs and help them find the best gear for them
- Assist with checking out gear purchases using POS system
- Delegate and assist with cleaning, restocking, and other retail duties as needed
Qualifications:
- Retail leadership experience required; ski shop/bike shop experience preferred
- Friendly, outgoing personality
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Comfortable standing and moving aroundfor long periods of time
- Experience with skiing or snowboarding required
When: This full-time position is ready to be filled immediately (Schedule: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday from 11am to 7:30pm). This position is seasonal with an approximate end date of March 30th. Overtime opportunities available throughout the season.
